The Bio of E-Dubb

The First Sign : E-Dubb was formerly known as Dj Venum of AM Records. In 1980 E-Dubb was born. Growing up in Kenosha wasnt all it was cracked up to be. Although his finest memory of his early childhood would be looking out his window and watching all the older kids breakdance to some Biz Marki and some Rockwell. As he grew older he began to dance himself. It wasnt untill 7th grade that a classmate came up to him at a school dance and asked him to dance against others at a house party. A little scared and hesitent he accepted. At this party, he saw for the first time off tv and now in person a real Dj. This is where he developed his interest in spinning. Going home and later telling his older step sister what he experienced, she decided it was time that she take him to her partys. At these partys there were Djs as well. But instead of playing Hip Hop, these Dj's were playing Latin Freestyle and House. This changed his life forever. At these house partys, non other than B96 mix master through down champion himself Allen "Bad-Mixx" Boyd, B96 MixMaster Bad Boy Bill. and the GodFather of Booty House Dj Funk to name a few attended. Not really knowing who they were at this time, it wasnt a huge deal.
The Second Sign : Now after High School
He ended up going to a local record store, AM Records. This is where he met Funky Bujo of the House Fawkaz. Hanging out in there is where he met is boy for life. G-Money. Hooking up with him was a buisness move in disguise. These two young kids went to partys all over the midwest. They started going to after partys together getting to know whos who in the industry. Helping out crews such as Plantations, Future Forces, Drop Bass Network, and Boogie Tride to name a few, this flyer boy wanted more. Working at AM Records for a while E-Dubb started staying after close to practice on the tables. Learning everything from house to jungle, he was trying to master it all. This is where Dj Venum was born in 1998.
The Third Sign : Life as a Dj
After the record store closed the scene died. It wasnt till around 2000 that this Dj wanted to do nights at local bars in town. Starting at a club called SOS Club, his doors started to slowly open. Teaming up with another local Dj and hosting friday nights at this club, these 2 were a team from beyond. Blowing up the electronic scene in Kenosha, they decided to start up another crew. E-Dubb, G-Money and we'll leave the other Dj / Producer to remain nameless. Shortly after leaving the SOS, they brought in another partner, JC Disko. For about 4 years they done events at a Racine Club called RD's Retreat. Then it was bought out and renamed Shockers. At this time head lining talent such as Dj Funk, Josh the Funky 1, Dj 3D, and Jes One were brought to the scene. . So the triple threat....E-Dubb, G-Money and JC Disko went off on there own and started the Corupted Mindz Entertainment. This enabled them to get away from the past reputation as the 2030 guys and a new start. Being in the scene for as long as they have, it didnt take long to establish a name for themselves.
This is the beginning. A new crew, with a new residency. Used To Be Slims will be the next hot spot. Doing a monthly there called Jackin The House, they pulled a decent crowd. Now its time to step it up a notch. Now its time for every Friday. Packing in the bar like they have never had, these Dj's have opened doors to play events all across the mid west and parts of down south. These guys have played in places such as Springfield MO, Minniapolis MN, Madsion Wi, Greenbay Wi, Milwaukee Wi, Fon du Lac Wi, Waukesha Wi, Belgium Wi, Chicago Ill, Antioch ill, Bloomington / Normal Ill, Iowa, Grand Rapids MI, and many more. With booking as far as Little Rock AK, Tampa Fl, Orlando Fl, Miami Fl, and Sanantonio Tx. this star is on the rise. Ready for the WMC's in '07 with a new track produced and a new CD to hand out. This kid isnt going anywhere but up.
The Quiet Storm
E-Dubb took a break from spinning for a while. After his venture with JC Disko and G-Money at Slims, he saw it was time to start a new venture. South Carolina was the new destination for Corupted Mindz. Expanding was never in the original plan, but he seen the opportunity and couldn't pass it by. E-Dubb landed a couple weekly residencies on Fridays and Saturdays at some local night clubs in the area located on the BoardWalk, downtown Myrtle Beach. Again with his unique styles of house and breaks, he has always kept the dance floor happy. After his return to Wi. JC Disko ventured off with his wife and started Lost n Found Productions, and kept his nights at Slims. E-Dubb went to another club in Racine Wi. and started Corupted Fridays. For a year or so, things were going good. He signed many Dj's to the Corupted Mindz name and things were smooth sailing. Then politics came into play. Tired of the he said she saids, E-Dubb decided that it was time to end Corupted Mindz as a crew of Dj's and try something different. This is when he acquired a job at a local night club again in Kenosha called SOS Club. Here he was in charge of the attached drive thru liquor store, and head of promotions. He reached out to many local bands in the southeastern Wi area including Milwaukee. Starting off his big debut to show what he was capable of, He started the Jagermeister Tour with Michigans KnowLyfe, Tennesee's Straight Line Stitch, and New Jerseys Ninth Corner. Along with other weekly talent such at Sick Frown from Indiana, Sihlo from Indiana, and so on. This wasn't doing it for him anymore. So he decided to get a job in the restaurant industry where he met his wife and started his family. Now E-Dubb is working with O.C. of Mentalography Productions on doing an internet show.
A different Direction
E-Dubb is currently back in school working on his graphic design, and IT degree. Along with his family's support, E-Dubb plans on taking Corupted Mindz Entertainment in a different direction.
